Scouting group of Maliyadeva College is one of the oldest scouting groups in Sri Lanka. As a leading scouting group in the country Maliyadeva Scouting group won many victories. Because of the talents of scouts, we have the highest percentage of president scouts as a school.

• In the year of 2002, out scouts got the 6th place in National Jamboree which was held in Balapitiya, Galle.

• In 2003, our scouts won the first place the sub district scout rally which was organized by Sandalanka scouting group.

• In same year, college scouts won Rajans Jim which was held in Lake View Park, Kandy.

• We won 45th jota camp called as jamboree on the air

• In year 1999 our scouts won Kurunegala district Rally.

• In every year, we organize an interschool friendship camp called “Sampath friendship camp” since 1990. This is one of the largest projects in our school which is about 35 schools participating. In the last year we organized it nearby Athugala and in this year we are going have it in Tampana area.

• In several years, our scouts selected to represent Sri Lanka and had tours to many different countries for international regional events.
